Thread: to lucid or not to lucid

I completely disagree, but thats just my opinion.

Depends on how good you are at LDing I suppose. But I would say that sometimes my non lucids are better, but I'd still pick an LD over a regular dream any day.

Every once in a while I get a good normal dream, but most of the time they are boring
Give me a lucid and I'll be a lot happier

Same here. My subconcious may be a lunitic, but it's usually not very exciting.

Dream Within a Dream, maybe when you become lucid in a dream you could try to continue the plot of the normal dream but have a little fun with your lucid powers.

I actually like my non-lucid dreams, mostly because A. they're usually psychic dreams that come true and B. I had terrible lucid nightmares during my younger days. Lucids are very fun and enjoyable, don't get me wrong, but finding the future in a non-lucid dream is more useful than doing stuff that could never happen in a lucid.

And I thought I was the only one! Everybody thinks Im crazy not to LD, but I prefer normal dreams a lot too. My dreams are half and half.

Its not that I dont like my lucids. When I LD I usually have control over the setting and environment, so I can make whatever I want. Then I usually mess around, blow shit up, bang the hottest girl I see, go around adventuring -- the usual LD stuff. But when I get an EPIC non-LD, its a setting so unique cool and convincing that it would take me hours of waking time to think of all the details and converging plot lines. When I get an epic it lasts all night and its like living another life for a couple of days. So its not that I dont love LD, its that the subconscious does a great job if you just let it out!

I like them both too. It depends on what I want. If I want more of a "trip" experience, I would rather have a non-lucid because you never know what to expect. But If I want to have control and do w/e and want to have a blast, the LDs are perfect. I can't decide which I like better, so I'm saying I like em both.
