Please! Someone Motivate and inspire me!

Recently my motivation with LDing has been getting lower and lower..
i still think of it at the back of my mind once in while before bed but i never actually do much to help myself get them now days!
I need someone to give me guidance to get more motivated again.
I really want to LD but a succession of very little LD's saw my motivation slowly decline...
i still really want to do it!
however i feel like im getting lasier all the time!
PLease someone show me the way!

All I can say is I know exactly what you mean. I came to this site looking for a way to increase and enhance my LD experiences. I haven't had one since joining. And in fact, my dream recall has come to a COMPLETE standstill (I have always remembered my dreams extremely clearly). So this is wierd to me, waking up and not remembering any of my dreams. Just joining the site won't help you, I'm guessing you just have to find it in you to recommit yourself to it.
Its hard to dream recall when your starin' down the barrel of a loaded Thnikkaman.

I can relate ... my suggestion, do what I'm doing
I, too, am having some issues with my LDing at the moment. Mostly related to being sick with the flu and having heavy work stresses.

So how am I dealing with it?
I'm trying to advise and help others as best as possible - to some extent be a little bit of a 'teacher'. It helps.

I used to think that I needed loads of sleep to have an LD but the past couple of weeks I have been going to bed around 12.30ish, getting up at 7.30ish but having LD's after exactly 2 hours of sleep. I am usually always feeling tired thoughout the week anyway but was surprised when I had them after only 2 hours as thats never happened before - its mostly after 6 hours.

My story and advice is this: When I joined this site it was to increase the frequency of my LD's hopefully by reading daily about it and thinking about it - but I didnt have one for ages. I gave it a little rest, and then had about 4 in a week, all different levels of lucidity and trying all the things I wanted to try. So just chill out, think about them here and there and it'll happen.

The day you say "Am I dreaming" and you actually are is so good! Its like a dream....oh hang on...

I'm also quite pleased because 2 of my friends had their 1st LD's a few weeks after I told them to try to realise they are dreaming. They loved it!
Lucid at least once a week, mainly on weekends.

Its already been said elsewhere on this site, but consistant amounts of sleep seem to be important and perhaps bassaddict has now found that.

Last LD i had was many weeks ago myself. I have a hard time reminding myself to RC with such a heavy work load that i've had of late. Try visualisations that have been mentioned here recently, they might help you out. I've been trying them too and i ended up dreaming being in bed, visualising while waiting for the onset of sleep paralysis!

      We'll all get there eventually

      I have similar problem...

So far I found that teaching LD to someone helps me to understand it better and hopefully boosts my interest in LDing...

Yes. My Ld's have increased since I have picked up adoptions becuase you have to go over LD information and go over it again to make sure you are teaching the correct info. In turn, it puts it in my mind.
All in all though you just flat out want to have it bad enough on your own. Motivation usually comes from within, not someone else.
Good luck. Hope you get inspired.

no no peoples.... he needs someone to INSPIRE him!

that means: tell him about your experiences so he gets excited and is really motivated to try to do the same thing
thats what happened to me anyway, (2 LDs since)

      such as:

have you ever felt what it feels like to fall out of a plane, without a parachute, hundreds and hundreds of feet up in the air, the exhileration you get as your gut flies up to your stomach... and then trying to fall faster than the other people...

Im in the same position aswell. I find myself teaching more instead of learning and my motivation absolutely sucks. I'm not even bothered to do RC's anymore. I try WILD's every morning, but even doing those I lack a lot of motivation so it doesn't work. What usually brings my motivation back is having a random lucid dream.

Tip for person who has no LD: If your a person who constantly has LD'ing on your mind and still no luck for like a month. Take a 2-3 week break. Usually during that period you will get a Lucid dream.
