      Light bulb

Well the other day I was dreaming I was at my aunt's house. She asked me to turn on the light and I did just that. The light in the room didn't change much, only a bit, but the light bulb was off and it turned on after I flicked the switch. Then I tried turning it off and it wouldn't. Since I had slightly changed light levels and saw the bulb on I just thought it was malfunctioning. Anyways I didn't become lucid. Has anything like this happened to anyone before? I thought changing light levels in a dream... even a little bit... was impossible.
      Early Morning Moment,
      A Glimpse of Joy,
But soon it's Over, and I return to Dust...

I don't remember ever actually turning on a light, but in dreams there always seems to be light coming from somewhere... usually in mine it's dark outside, so it couldn't be the sun. So if you could do it, I suppose it is possible.

Electrical things (such as light bulbs) shouldn't work, yet I often find myself on the computer, watching TV, etc, which I find kind of odd.

Yeah, just yesterday I had a LD , and I played with light levels.

Strangely enough, light switch worked, but it was unpredictable.

there was a 4 light bulb thingie, and when I'll flip light switch, one or 2 of

      4 lamps will turn on.

I dont remember how I turned them off.

But still, I used this instability to explain teh fact of me dreaming...

It seems like it depends on the person. I heard some people who have huge problems with lights and stuff. For me its no problem. Lights, tv's computers everything works like it does in real life, goes on and off nearly every time.

computers are usualy complete wastes of time in my LDs, the computer might seem to work completely normaly but it will almost never do what i want, the tv usualy works and i can pften manipulate what is on and on some occasions i have put my head into the tv and become part of the picture, i have done this with pisters as well-the world inside was alwats weird.

Light switches never work for me either. I have to mentally control the light bulb.
But, hey, you can turn on a light switch while you are awake, right?
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Um, there's no set of rules and guidelines on how a LD is/should be.... Things can and WILL deviate. Thats why you gotta find out what works for you and what doesnt, instead of taking everything we say on here as the absolute truth and how its gonna be... Its all personal experiences.
