      Smile Tried to WILD

      Hey all,
I tried to do the WILD technique last night and I don't know how close I was and was wondering if you guys could help me see how far I was with the signs that I state. I was lying in bed for about 20 minutes when the itching started. I ignored the itching and got to the part where your body tests to see if your mind is still awake by telling it that its uncomfortable. I resisted the urge to move and got past that. After a while I started to lose the feeling of my body and it got a bit heavier than normal. Shortly after that my hearing changed and I heard more of a hiss noise around me. I then felt what I can only describe as waves of energy going through my body (sort of like a really long cold chill). everything felt all static like and then.... I had to go to the restroom and it ruined my whole procedure. Does anyone have any idea how close I was?

I remember the closest I ever came, I went through the exact thing you described; the numbing sensation, heaviness... I scratched my itches though and then quickly forgot about them. What happened with sound though was it started kind of like a hissing but then progressed into random worldly sounds. Kind of like instruments in a tornado, there were just random voices and noises. Then the thought began to creep up on me, "huh, what state am I actually in right now?" So I ruined it by waking up, but when I did I could barely tell if I was dreaming or not, in fact I felt like I was on mushrooms and I had minor visual hallucinations for about a minute. I had to go in the mirror, pinch myself, and check my pupils. Then I went back to bed disappointed.
The journey is usually more rewarding than reaching the destination.

yeah I have been trying again for the past couple days now but either I am too tired or my patience wears thin. I am going to try again tonight . I was thinking of setting up my own space in my mind that I could regularly go to. Sort of like a laboratory for my dreams. There I would practice different ideas I wanted to try in my dreams in an area I could feel secure in. Meh... its just an idea
