Doing more with my LD's than sex and flying

So i'm basically LD'ing on a somewhat regular basis now (finally!) but I've come to a sort of roadblock. You see, attaining lucidity is quite common now, but the LD isn't quite as Lucid as I want it to be.

Take for example, the setting of the dream. When I attain lucidity, the first thing I try to do is let my dream body fly up into the sky a little bit. This always feels awesome, of course, but when I say to myself "Fly throught the cealing" Nothing happens... I bump my head! When I'm outdoors I'm fine, as I can soar with no boundries. My dreams are still somewhat controlling me, rather than me controlling my dreams because I am unable to manipulate my environment...i'm still 'contained' within the dream setting that I 'wake up' in.

I guess basically I'm looking for a strategy to manipulate my environment. Any thoughts?

Another thing that I want more of are things to do. Lets just say that sex with DC's (although lovely and very pleasurable) is wearing somewhat thin. I feel like I'm abusing my Lucid power by conjuring up beautiful women to have sex with all the time (). I want to slay the demons that remain in my mind, but I can't seem to find them! And I want to be able to find mental blocks that are holding me back in reality, and destroy them! I wanna go on epic quests through the darkness and journey into the light... I don't want to waste my LD's by doing the same things all the time.

I have an ideal dream phantasy that I want to create...but I don't have the power!!!

any thoughts or suggestions would be enjoyed greatly...
      Thanks!

I like the idea of an epic adventure. Once I gain control of my lucid dreams I plan to do some hardcore Little Nemo stuff.

Lucid sex sucks. It kills the dream and isn't as good as the real thing anyway. Practice is the only way to get better at changing your environment. Try the Lucid Tasks of the Month.

As for going through ceilings and walls, do you know what's on the other side? If you don't then it's more difficult. Figure out what's on the other side before you go through it. Your dream doesn't like manufacturing large scenes on the fly so it contains you to what it's already created.

The way I see it lucid sex isn't an abuse of the skill, it's just usually a complete waste because the dream ends quicker. Currently I'm trying to acheive the same things as you until I can really "master" the art...
and then live the perfect fantasy!

Adventuring in LDs... I haven't tried it but I REALLY want to and I'm currently trying .

BillyBob's tutorials are excellent for this. Take a look at them below:

      thanks for the pointers.

Now that you mention it, right after lucid sex, the dream kinda does end. I'm just kinda realizing that. I guess I wouln't be so tempted to do it if I could get a little something more in reality that's another story tho...

I have a world that i've created in my head that I write songs and try to write stories about...my goal is to step into it and interact with the characters and see the sights. Just writing this thread helped me to realize what's possible with LD's!

Don't give up, it does take a while to get past that stuff.

There are lots of ideas for more "enlightened" things to do; just try to think of one thing in particular that you want to do, and really focus on that while you are awake.

Creating a whole world and stepping into it sounds a little advanced! But you never know what you might be able to do if you keep working on it. Just try a little bit at a time.

Original poster, it's funny you bring up demons. I got into lucid dreaming originally because, while reading the goetia and lesser keys of Solomon, I started to have dreams of mythical demons, and they would do some messed up stuff to me.

I started to LD so I could try and interact with them and figure out why my mind was manifesting such weirdness (I know they aren't REAL in the normal sense of what's considered real). Although I do have some strange parallels between life and dreams sometimes.

Anywho, I guess I'm just weird, but demons don't really bother me anymore, now I dream about lots of strange and empty, alien looking landscapes. You can almost be like an Archaeologist in your dreams, dig and you will find.

I read lots of HP Lovecraft before bed though, maybe that's bad?
