      Question was i lucid?

I remember when i was younger, In the morning my mom would wake me up, then i would fall back to sleep for a little while. Most of the time i would dream, i knew i was dreaming, but i never tried to control it or change anything because i thought it was just a dream. also, sometimes it was like i was watching my dream as an outside source, as if i was watching myself on t.v.

would that be considered being lucid? if it is, why was it so easy to do it when i was younger, but now im having trouble with it?

If you were dreaming and you knew it, you were lucid. It's probably harder to do it now simply because you're older. Little kids have amazing imaginations because they use them more. As we get older, we don't use our imaginations as much, so they get weaker. The same seems to apply to lucid dreaming.
