Ever been on holiday

I have just been taking about holidays and it got me thinking about a lucid dream holiday. Has anyone ever been to a holiday location where they have been before in real life or just a random holiday location in a lucid dream. I would like to do this but for my dream control, it would be awesome to revisit a few of my holidays and for free. So anyone done or want to do this?

I've taken a few LD vacations. Usually to a place I have never been (simply because I've never been anywhere really cool). I like to bring along some of my friends and family as DCs. However, I've always found that in my LD vacations I am really busy. Lots of cooking, walking, swiming. But in waking life (IWL) I usually am so beat from getting ready for the vacation, getting to the place, etc. I just want to lay around and read a book. One of my long-term dream goals is to actually build a dream vacation home and visit it several times.

On your ld vacations do you do the usual like getting your room number at the reception and then going to your room or do you just go wherever and do whatever you like? Also did you say you cook?

LOL, yes I cook in my LDs all the time. I actually love to cook, just not food that is good for you. So in my LDs I endulge my love of cooking fatty, sugary, delecious food all the people IWL look at longingly but don't dare to actually eat. On all of my LD vacations I've never ridden in an airplane or stayed at a hotel, at least not the kind I've ever stayed at. I don't have to get my room number or a key. Usually I stay in beautiful, fully equiped and stocked homes. The kinds that come with private beaches or miles of pristine forest. I'm a fairly shy person, so I've never chosen to have an LD vacation in a crowded place. Generally me and any DCs I bring along are the only people about.

Does the food taste good? I mean do you actually get the flavor out of the meal?

I can't remember if I've done this. I have a feeling I have but I can't recall specifics at the moment. I remember a couple of years ago me and another DV member were going to try take a lucid trip to Dildo Island in Newfoundland, Canada just to see how our dream scenery would turn out. He made it... with hilarious results. I didn't make it, and still haven't.

The food always tastes good. I get the full smells and textures as well. However, there have been a few times when I woke up just as I was serving the food and hadn't eaten any yet. I was ticked!
