Thread: Did I almost achieve Lucid Dreaming?

I was listning to an mp3 titled: :The Ultimate Lucid Induction. And while listning, (My eyes were closed) I saw a bright blue light in the corner of my eyes, as I watched it, it engulfed my eyes. Until everything looked completly blue. (P.S. This was no dream. I was still awake at the time.) And I was feeling weird hot flashes. Did I almost have a lucid dream?

Guess so. If your whole eye sight's going Blue, something must be happaning.

I was still awake though. And the light caused me to open my eyes. So theres no way of knowing. And yes, you were the one I was talking to on DV chat.

I have that mp3, its pretty sweet. If strange things were happening I'd say thats a sign that sleep was soon coming and with a possible ld.

In that case, that would be my first ALMOST ld.

Not even close, sorry. That was just your eyes relaxing. Throughout the day your eyes' rods, cones, and muscles are constantly being triggered and when you close your eyes for a long period of time they re-calibrate themselves. Why they don't do this on the fly: nobody knows, but that's all it was. Odds are you saw a lot of yellow (opposite of the re-calibration colour) during the day so your eyes adjusted for that. P

Right now if I close my eyes for a few seconds I start to see faint green plasma. I'm on my computer and my background is predominately purple.

Sounds like you were trying a WILD. Most of the time there is much more intricate imagery before even starting to enter a dream.
