Yes maybe because it was a dream in the early stages of sleep which are harder to recall and the dream journal may have had an effect as well. There also could be other factors. |

I vaguely remember doing a reality check in one of my dreams last night. I didn't recall the dream though. |

thats SO bizzare that you posted this because I just woke up from this long nap an hour ago and my reality check, perhaps a really flawed one but I don't want to try to change it now, trying to push my fingers through my hand, didnt work until I got a cue that I was lucid from having 2 computers that I don't own on my bed. |

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to walk from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where—" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you walk," said the Cat.
"—so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "If only you walk long enough."
That's why you gotta do multiple RCs. My first ever lucid, i held my nose randomly and could breathe so i got lucid. I then tried putting my finger through my palm (i was already lucid) and it didn't work. I looked at my hand and it was fine -- didn't look weird. Then i jumped and i was floating...freaking awesome. |

It happened to me last night. I tried to fly (several times) but I crashed. So I gave up. I was so mad at myself when I woke up.... |

All the times when no one ever came to get me
All the nights when i was scared
And when it got to weird
It was the song that saved me

I find finger-thru-the-palm a little hit or miss. Last week I tried it after I was lucid because I wasn't *sure* anymore, and it didn't work, but then I thought, "I'm pretty sure I'm dreaming," and tried it again, and my finger went right through. Unreliable as it is, it's still my favorite RC |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
That happened to me once. I did the RC of sticking my left hand through my right hand, but it didn't work. I remember being really disappointed and thinking to myself "I really thought this was a dream!" I then tried again out of desperation, and it didn't work as expected, but one of my fingers did turn transparent. |

Lucid Dreams: 2 [DILDs: 2, WILDs: 0]
I don't actually seem to use RCs in my dreams to become lucid. I do RCs during the day, but in a dream, I just know that I'm dreaming and have no need for them. However, in my most recent LD (I wasn't very lucid at the start of it), I thought "Hey, I'm dreaming here, but I should probably do a RC just to make sure." I then started to pull some grass out the ground and I thought, "What the hell am I doing?" The dream then became more vivid and I was more lucid, but I thought that was very weird. |
