      What is sleep paralysis like?

Well, last night I had a dream that scared me when a hamster was crawling down my chest and towards my pants...it felt so real! I woke up...it was 7 AM. And, I could tell, I had woken too early and I was slightly paralyzed. I could still move, but it wasn't easy and I could feel my body wanting to stick to the bed in the same place. In sleep paralysis, are you completely immovable?

Wow, I'm learning so much about the mysteries of sleep lately...remembered two dreams last night, and they seem to be getting more vivid and real. I'm pissed, though. I should have realized I was dreaming last night. Get this: I was with some friends and we invented the sport of basketball while we were watching an NBA game, LOL.

      I must say that is...strange...

but I've only been through sleep paralysis once, and it happened way too fast so I can't help much here...

As I understand it, you are completely immovable in sleep paralysis. There are probably partial forms like yours.

My experience with sleep paralysis has usually been total immobility, except for the ability to move my eyes to look around the room and sometimes the ability to swivel my head very slowly. There are ranges of paralysis, though, I think. I have had some paralysis dreams where I am not completely immobile, but feel like I'm connected/restrained to the bed by rubber bands... kinda like you described above. Other times, I have suddenly come out of my body (OBE) and felt completely mobile after straining for mobility.

I've had sleep paralisys (spelling?) a couple times. Usually in the middle of the night between a non lucid dream and a lucid one. I'll WILD myself into the lucid one.

      Maybe you have false awakinings?

Post some of your dreams in the one section... yeah, wherever they belong. They seem really freakin interesting...

I think you were talking to me . . .

I have been planning to post a few of my dreams, but I usually don't have that much time in one sitting... I guess I could just cut and paste.
