      Mental Disorder and WILD

Hi im new to dreamviews and have been having Lucid Dreams for a couple years now.

I have some kind of mental disorder ever since I was 18 and dont know what it is and quite frankly I love that I have it . I have WILDs everynight without even trying.

Its a mix of Insomnia and OCD, basically when I go to sleep at night I cant go to sleep cuz i cant stop thinking. After about an hour of laying in bed my body goes to sleep but Im still conscious and have a WILD.

For some reason my mind has trouble going to sleep but like any ordinary person my body will fall asleep.

I dont put any effort into trying to have WILDs they just happen all the time and now its second nature to me.

At first when this started happening I was kind of freaked out because I never knew why I couldnt go to sleep and then I started having WILDs. Once I got used to it, I would have to say its totally worth it!

Does this happen to anyone else?

Maybe I could be some use in some kind of research?

I am (was) like this, but i didnt wild. There were times when i couldnt go to sleep for ages. But since i am polyphasic i got to sleep really fast (well some times i cant go to sleep to my naps at the beginning). But i think it is a lot more seriours to you.

Ahhhh I wouldn't use the term "mental disorder," that sounds way more serious!

Anyway, how do you feel during the day... tired or not?

That is really cool how it has worked to your advantage. How old are you now if you don't mind me asking?

So it's annoying but you also can ignore it??? weird.

Sometimes at night I lay there thinking about stuff that is stressing me out. like work and things. But what do you lay there thinking about?

It also doens't give me wilds, but I have DILDs a few times per week naturally. WILDs take a lot for me to accomplish.

OCD is different from your everyday stress thoughts.

And its kind of hard to explain but I might not necessariy be thinking about anything but my mind will feel as if it is thinking, so I end up just laying in bed and all the sudden SP starts, and i say to myself "Time to dream"

      I agree.

If you had OCD then you would
      Obsessions are defined by:
      1. Recurrent and persistent thoughts, impulses, or images that are experienced at some time during the disturbance, as intrusive and inappropriate and that cause marked anxiety or distress.
      2. The thoughts, impulses, or images are not simply excessive worries about real-life problems.
      3. The person attempts to ignore or suppress such thoughts, impulses, or images, or to neutralize them with some other thought or action.
      4. The person recognizes that the obsessional thoughts, impulses, or images are a product of his or her own mind, and are not based in reality.
      5. The tendency to haggle over small details that the viewer is unable to fix or change in any way. This begins a mental pre-occupation with that which is inevitable.
      Compulsions are defined by:
      1. Repetitive behaviors or mental acts that the person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession, or according to rules that must be applied rigidly.
      2. The behaviors or mental acts are aimed at preventing or reducing distress or preventing some dreaded event or situation; however, these behaviors or mental acts either are not connected in a realistic way with what they are designed to neutralize or prevent or are clearly excessive.
Again if you had OCD you would not have stress, you would have to do ritual over and over again. Like walking and counting your steps. What ritual do you have to do everyday that causes you distress H8 if you don't do it?

The planet Earth exhibits all of these properties and therefore can be considered alive and its own single organism by the scientific definition.
      7. Reproduction: The ability to produce new organisms.
does the planet Earth reproduce, well no unless you count the moon.

I have both insomnia and OCD, both are severe at times, but I don't WILD easily, I doubt that what you experience has to do with a disorder.

      It must be cool though.

You appear to be suffering from the malady of thought. You probably also have the malady of being able to visualize, at least to a certain extent.

      haha

Anyway, You're lucky this is happening to you, and if it relates to OCD, I'm sure the relationship is very slim.

Dang, OCD seems to cause me nothing but problems with dreaming.
