      You are suddenly stuck!

Do any of you have the experience when dreaming that you're moving somewhere when all of a sudden, you're stuck! This phenomenon seems pretty common with me and happens independent of lucidity or awareness of dreaming. I've had numerous times when I'm walking along when my body suddenly gets "stuck" as if there's some invisible force field holding me back. Or in a lucid dream, I'd want to get somewhere by walking only to find that my movement is abruptly impeded by that force field again. Some say this may be related to the limited range of the astral cord or something but none of the experiences when I feel myself tugged and held back resembled anything like OOBE's (which I've experienced a few so far.)

Happens to me. I dont knwo about a limited astral chord...I think it's just when your mind doesnt create the next step, so you jsut get stuck. Like when Im lucid Ill try breaking through wallas and jsut freeze because I havent thoguht of whats behind the wall.

Yes, as in one dream I was running from these guys w/ guns and all of the sudden. I drifted back, everything around me turned black, and I felt as if i were floating on nothing. Then little chains popped out of no where from the dark blackness, and started rapping themself around me, and pulling me in.
