      Dream memories

I have noticed that in my lucid dreams I have dream memories in addition to my real memories. I have memories of the place that im in, and memories of the people that live in that wolrd or setting. How is this possible, and has anyone else had this happen to them?

Dream memories are cool. Sometimes I can recall whole dream day prior

      to the dream.

The vividity and realism of those memories is absolutely amazing

This happens to me aswell but I've always thought it to be memories of forgotten dreams similar to the current dream.

I know what you mean. sometimes i'll be in a dream and I will have the cognition to think "wait, I've done this before," or "god, i kill one friggin' albatross and I gotta deal with skeleton shipmates... this is bullshit". It makes me wonder if I have two psyche's or if there's a part of my brain that's dedicated to dreaming and the storage of dream info.

on the other hand, sometimes i'll be in a dream and I'll think about something that has occured in real life. i don't know what to make of that.
An idea is something you haven't fully considered.
A belief is merely a repetitive thought.
A conclusion is simply where you stopped thinking.

Just like when i get deja vu in the waking world i somtimes get it while dreaming too. You can swear that you've been there before, but you can't quite remember when, but somthing hits you like, hey i've seen this before, yet you've never been there. I assume it may be from past dreams that are forgotten by your memory but still lodged deep inside your subconcious mind, and somthing clicks. Who knows, but it can be usefull for inducing lucid dreams. Any weird thoughts or feelings such as this i do an RC, and since it happens in dreams as well sooner or later you may find your self in a lucid dream.

umm, deja vu is a little bit different....
you have the dream FIRST (for me sometimes its just a memory that occurs, and i dont know about it till something happens in the waking world) and then you visit the place in real life, (and im my case my teacher was talking to me.... i could tell what she was about to say..... it freaked me out, so i took a different path to my desk because i had to break the dejavu some how... )

would dream memories be like, accepting things as reality? i do that alot, then i kick myself for not realising it was a dream..... at least..... when i remember them

I think one time I was visiting this place that I had visited in a dream before, or was I just dreaming about dreaming about the place?

I do that too...it just makes me laugh. I think we're talking more about memories that come to us while we're dreaming, either a) from past dreams or B) from nowhere at all--our dream-minds just made them up as part of the dream. Hope that helps
