Just as a complete guess, I would say no, mostly because your muscles in RL don't need those substances when you're dreaming. |

It would probly have around about the same chemical effect as imagining. |

Goals:
Remember my dreams a week strait
Have more than 10 LD's in a month
Have 2 LD's on my futon instead of my bed
Thanks PaleRider thats what i was thinking but was thinking that if you knew it wasnt real your body wouldent need the chemicals, but thats awesome so exercise in dreams could make u fit in real life to an extent. |

This is incorrect. Adrenalin can rush through the body completely regardless of the muscles. Ever gotten really pissed off? You don't need muscles to be angry, but adrenalin goes through you when it happens. Adrenalin is a response mechanism that can be activated sub-consciously through reactions to things including Fear, Need, Anger, etc. It has nothing to do with your muscles. |

I am certain the answer has to be "yes." Laberge discusses this topic at some length in his book, "Lucid Dreaming." As I recall, he doesn't specifically address chemical changes in the body as measured in the labarotory, but definitely physiological changes that have been measured. Physiological changes don't happen without body chemistry changes, they go hand in hand. For example, running in dreams can increase your heart rate and respiration IRL. Same for sex dreams, we know what happens in real life there. Think of the reaction some have to vivid nightmares, waking up terrified, heart pounding, sweating. That's all body chemistry -- adrenaline, endorphins, etc. |
