Unhappy Really Want Help on WILD!

I have a few questions that I would really like to have answered! Here are some, and I may add more if I think of them.

-I sometimes and doing well, until I start to swallow. I fight the urge, but sometimes it just automatically happens. How can I prevent myself from swallowing over and over?

-What is HI like? Do the visuals look realistic, as if they were right in front of you? Or are they cloudy and indefinite?

-How do I know if I am in SP if I am not supposed to move?

All the different ways of WILD seem to contradict each other. Some say to keep your mind completely clear, others say let your mind wander until you start feeling different sensations. Normally I focus on my breathing, and can get my body numb. Last night I tried letting my mind drift, and I got deeper into sleep, but I lost concentration and awareness a few times. I suddenly realized several times there was a very unclear scene, and did not know how long it has been there. I also don't know if I am thinking/picturing the scene, or if my mind is actually thinking that I see it. One way I start to feel asleep, but lose awareness. The other way I am still aware, but can't fall asleep. Am I supposed to have a balance between the two?

Please help! I would greatly appreciate it!

      Lucid Goals:
      1. Successfully WILD
      2. Increase lucidity, clarity, control, etc.
      3. Change locations/teleport

Lie in a different position? Drink more/less? Try those.

      Extremely vivid and realistic.
-How do I know if I am in SP if I am not supposed to move?
Trust me, you will just know.

The reason they contradict each other is that there are so many different ways of doing it.

You must bare in mind that you will be asleep long before you know you are. That is what your problem was.

In relation to the swallowing problem..
When you feel like you need to swallow then just let it happen as normal and don't worry about it. You need to try and take your mind off it; if you're just lying there in agony because you're trying not to swallow then it's going to have a worse effect on the WILD than if you were to just swallow in the first place!
Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.

      1. Either try breathing with your mouth open (though this also might be distracting) or, just don't worry about it

      2. At first (To me, I assume HI is basically the same for everyone) HI looks like smoldering clouds, hazy. Then, it can get more vibrant, resembling lightning strikes or flourecent paint being thrown across your vision. It might change again, I'm not sure though because thats as far as I got.

      3. Even if you're not moving, you'll feel your body. When SP starts, you can't

Thanks for the help! I will try WILDing again tonight.

I didn't start to have the swallowing problem until it was brought to my attention that it could happen, so it probably is a good idea to just try not to think about it.

I am still not sure about the HI. I definitely see swirling colors, but when I thought I was seeing faces, it was more like looking at a colored cloud then seeing an actual face. I am not sure if I have been seeing HI or not. If you were to move your eyes, would the HI follow the motion? For me, the swirling colors do move with my eyes, so what is directly in my vision stays there if I move my eyes (this is just experimenting though, I usually try to keep my eyes still). Is this HI? I usually see a green swirl travelling around, along with some background white strobe-like lights.

Thanks again for the help already given!

I had this problem early on as well. I found that after enough WILD attempts, the urge to swallow started to become less and less. When WILDing, I always focus on the constant tick-tock of my wall clock, ignoring every other sound and occurrence. This seems to do the swallow-avoiding trick for me. Good luck.

-What is HI like? Do the visuals look realistic, as if they were right in front of you? Or are they cloudy and indefinite?
To be completely honest, I have rarely experienced HI. With every successful WILD I've mastered, my HI has been nothing more than advanced green blob formations. The way I enter WILDs is by ultimately moving my "dream body" rather than my "real body", and then opening my eyes in the dream world. Also, I do not recommend focusing on HI unless it is a detailed scene in front of you—because it will distract your WILD process.

-How do I know if I am in SP if I am not supposed to move?
You will most likely notice a very apparent shift in consciousness. Also a feeling of heaviness spread throughout the body. It will also feel as though your mind and sight range is "expanding". You will feel as though you're staring with eyes wide open into a pitch-black room, rather than laying down with your eyes closed. You will also notice that you will not be able to tell what position your arms are in (other than memory).
      Stay lucid, stay WILD!

      Thanks CrazyInSane!

I will hopefully get over the swallowing with practice.

I don't get what you mean when you say you move your dream body rather than your real one. Does this happen in SP?

Your description of SP, is very helpful, because I have had that experience several times. This is usually how I feel as my body goes numb, or sometimes a little after that.

Hopefully if I time this right with a WBTB this weekend, I will WILD! I have a good feeling that it is going to happen then!

Everytime I try to WILD I get to a point where I start seeing an eye opens up and starts looking at me and blinking while my eyes are closed. I just stare back at it... Its not a human eye but more of a "Dragon" eye I guess... Like <(|)> .

I get the swallowing a lot too. Very annoying, im like laying there then all the sudden *swallows*

Have yet to do a successful WILD ( my next tries are this weekend coming up )

I have asked this question before and the answer i got was

      Nope, not at all.

For example, try to move your arm right now with your eyes closed, but don't actually move you muscles at all. Just send the signal. It takes a bit of practice, but you do not need to imagine anything.

You should just start moving if it works.

I use to swallow when sleeping a lot but not so much anymore. You aren't supposed to think about swallowing cause if you do think about not swallowing, you will swallow. How i got over it was whenever i needed to swallow, i just did with little thought. Eventually, you are no longer afraid to swallow so you will not constantly think about not swallowing, if that makes sense. The listening to a clock idea sounded neat and would probably be something good to focus on. I wish I had a clock that ticked

I keep my mouth open and that helps me. Sfter a while the urge just goes away.

For me, it's an explosion of color, and A LOT of audio. If you've ever played assassin's creed, it's like when it's loading and you're in the animus. I eventually latch onto a far away event and get pulled in.

-How do I know if I am in SP if I am not supposed to move?

I've never actually been aware of being in SP while wilding. I think I'm already in my dream when it happens.
Willing to talk about/listen to anything you have to say.
