Lightbulb Using LDs to remember your dreams ?

First of all, I would like to point out that I don't know too much about psychology and I'm not an expert lucid dreamer, this is just something that came across my mind.I don't know if someone already wrote something about this. Please, correct me if I'm wrong about anything

Anyway, let's get to the point...

Everything we experience with our senses through our lives is carefully stored in our memory, even if it's only a face of a random man in the street.
We have long-term memory and our brain doesn't actually delete the data, we just lose the connections to the information with our conscious mind.

Through our lives, we carry tacit knowledge with ourselves. That is the knowledge that we have in our minds, but we are not actually aware of that knowledge.

In short...We know a lot, LOT, LOT more than we can say... (Maybe that's the reason why the dream guides know a lot more than we do about ourselves, since they ARE our subconscious mind)

When we are dreaming, we gather information from our mind (subconscious minds is producing the dreams for us using our long-term memory) for our mind (storing the dreams in the long-term memory), but our mind itself doesn't actually know the difference between what we collect with our senses in the waking state and in the dreaming state.

However, our mind seems to have some kind of a system to make us forget our dreams, but as I mentioned before, we can't actually forget something, we just lose the connections, the capacity of our memory is not limited.

When we are lucid dreaming, we meet our subconscious mind face to face and we are able to dig through the endless pools of our memory....(I should cut the dosage of metaphors, shouldn't I ? )

      Anyway...the theory ... at last

Would it be possible to perfectly replay and recall one's dreams using the flaw while in the lucid dream state.

It sounds interesting but then again...what if you forget that dream in which you tried to remember a previous dream ?

Believe you can or believe you can't... either way, you're right.

This is really a farfetched idea yet I like the reasoning behind it.
I am still inexperienced in lucid dreaming but I've had a few.

What I did notice was a greater ability to remember past memories in lucid dreaming than in a normal awake and conscious state. I remembered details I woudn't normally be able to so it could work to remember one's dream as they are memories after all. ReReading your dream journal should help before 'using the flaw', in this case preparing you for them

Reading the DJ before trying that...lol, why didn't I think of that...
      Yea, it should help.

I'm not experienced with LDs, but I would really like to try this...or get someone to try this...and it would be a good idea to try to find an incomplete and messed up dream in your DJ and try to fully retrieve it.

Believe you can or believe you can't... either way, you're right.

The problem is that lucid dreams are just as volatile as normal dreams, you'll probably end up forgetting your LDs quite easily.

While you are in a Lucid Dream, you can "summon" a dream guide and ask questions to it, you will be surprised at how wise your subconscious can be.

So, if you have a good dream recall, you might be able to remember what it said, I find it difficult to remember text or speech in dreams, but with practice you may be able to remember it.

Trying to replay a dream? That sounds a bit farfetched, but it may still be possible.

And sorry if I didn't read your post properly, it's very difficult to me to put attention in text as I have ADHD.

Btw, I have ADHD too, how do you think this idea came to my mind in the first place ? hehe

But I understand what do you mean about reading long texts...I often have to read something a couple of times before I really understand what I just read. And ofcourse, it gets worse with more boring and really really looong texts.

One more thing, when I said "replay"your dreams, I wasn't quite clear about that.I meant that as in creating a TV (or something different, be creative ) for watching your memories in the dream, or asking a DG or (trying to ask) a DC about the dream... I didn't mean it as in actually redreaming that same dream...

Yeah, it was very difficult to read it, especially because my sister is playing Resident Evil 4 in front of me. *sigh*

I still think it's farfetched, but that's for me, there are always those awesome lucid dreamers that say that they can beat Chuck Norris in their dreams, it could be easy for them to do it.

I mean, it's a great idea, I will try it in my next lucid dream, I just hope that I don't forget my dream task this time.

I wish I had a source, but I read somewhere that lucid dreams are stored in your memory differently. I think I did, at least... maybe I'm wrong. Dunno.

I'm usually able to remember my lucid dreams much clearer, being able to recite most of the events in them without any notes even days after they happen. Unless my LD is foggy and short, then its just like any other dream.

Well...I know it's kind of farfetched, it's just an idea

Guess I'll have to wait for my next lucid dream to try it or wait for someone else to try it.If you do, please share your experience with us here.

Good night ! I hope I'll have a LD tonight
