      lucid dreaming and grandiosity

Hello everyone,I'm a newbie to these forums...
It seems all my life I've been a lucid dreamer, and sometimes this has
caused me great distress..the facts are I've got total dream recall,..
      and don't even journal.In most of my dreams,I am a warrior,a wizard
brandishing great powers against my enemies. In real life I don't have
      this ego,or attitude.Is this a freud thing working itself out?..or am I
channeling into the afterlife? My dream self percieves itself as some
kind of hero..thats where the grandiosity plays in..do any of you
      experience the same?

Hi, in my dreams I'm like anybody else but in real life I'm really quiet and shy so I think U mean that the mind is getting compensation from dreams which is usually the case with unfulfillment...they carry into dreams.

What exactly do you mean by 'total dream recall'?

How often do you have lucid dreams?

I think he means remembering his dreams from start to end..it's possible.

I think what is happenening to you is this:

Your mind is playing out the life you want to live in your dreams.

Maybe you need a change of lifestyle?
Do you prefer the person you are in your dreams? Become them in real life.

Thanks for your replies..I call it total dream recall, because I remember from start to
finish my dreams in great vivid detail, like mini-movies.I usually wake after every dream,
and analyze what I've just experienced..And yes maybe I do have unfullfilled desires
that come together in the wish-fullfilment of my slumber.I've ventured to many places
I could'nt conjure up on my own, therefore they are like alternate worlds.
