      Daydreams within dreams

      Hi

So glad I found this forum. Been interested in dreams for so long but haven't been able to find an info source. Found one now!

One thing I have noticed lately in my dreams is that sometimes I daydream. It's hard to explain this but while I am dreaming I will start to imagine things. The other night I dreamt I wanted to beat somebody in an argument so I was imagining what direction I should take and what their reaction would be. Last night in a dream I was walking through a nightclub and started feeling lonely because nobody was talking to me. So I started fantazising that I won the soccer world cup for my country.

The strangest thing is, while I was not in control of the dream itself, I was in control of the daydream/fantasy.

I am guessing people have experienced similar things? Let me know please.

Again, so glad I found this place. So many questions...

      Chab

      Welcome to the forum Chab!
Ive not experienced that myself, but to daydream, within a dream!
You can start to use this as a dream sign, and everytime you take yourself in daydream trough your waking day you do a Reality Check. Maybe to realize that suddenly you dont have to daydream anymore... you can just dream and have phun

I've imagined certain situations in dreams but I've never had a full on "daydream" within a nightdream (though in my waking life I daydream way too much ).

You could probably control your daydream within your nightdream because normally we can control our daydreams. However, daydreams usually don't get as intense as lucid dreams.

      Hey Chab!

Daydreams within a dream sounds pretty neat. So how vivid are these daydreams? Are you in control to the extent that you can change completely what you are day dreaming about?

      Hi all

The daydreams are as intense as my waking daydreams, if that helps at all, and just as controllable. It's just that daydreams just aren't as real as nightdreams. The problem is I have not been able to realise that I am daydreaming within a nightdream. Sometimes, when awake, I space out completely and start to daydream, then I shake myself out of it and go back to reality. That is what I do while asleep except I go back to my dream which I assume is reality.

Thanks to an article I read on a pagan website I have started to ask myself "am I dreaming?" when daydreaming. When I ask it during the nightdream I should answer "yes, you are dreaming."

Surely somebody else has had this happen? Anyway, I am hope I am getting closer to lucid dreaming.

      Chab
