      We lose logic,but whats logical..

We all know that as soon as we fall asleep and dream non lucid dreams we lose awareness which results in losing your logic aswell..

So lets say you see a purple elephant flying around in your dream you would find that pretty normal, but if you were lucid you would reaquire your logic and think..hahha pink elephant that makes no sense!

But for those among us who believe the dream world/astral plain is actually another reality/dimension, then really, whats logical..mabey we lose logic when we enter the dream world because logic is not really required because eerything there is logical? Mabey a flying purple elephant is actually logical,if everything is actually possible in the other world, nothing would be illogical..with other worlds, everything IS possible

uhhhh damn..im really making no sense lol

I cant really put into words what im trying to say..

I think what you are trying to say is if the dream world is truly a different place, then it does not have to follow the same physical laws as our universe.

      Was that close?
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

or that since we are visiting from a different place, the local physical laws do not apply to us?

that's a pretty damn cool thing to think about...

I actually believe that seemingly "illogical" things are actually logical... In other words, there is method, order, and logic, to EVERYTHING. Some things only APPEAR to be illogical because the logic is masked behind things we cannot or do not understand (yet). I think even the most abstract and "chaotic" things are still ordered by logic...

This is a good topic. I think you guys are confusing the terms "logical" and "possible". Logic refers to a mathematical method of reasoning, while possible refers to what can and can't happen. Thus, the purple elphant is not illogical per se, it would just be impossible in the real world. You might argue that if something is ilogical then it is impossible (although not vice-versa), but the real issue is that in the dream worlds the premises change, the rules change, such that when logic is applied based on these premises you get a different outcome.

I would argue that all things (i.e. flying elephants, or dancing bananas, etc.) are possible. They only appear to be impossible NOW because of our limited finite knowledge. In other words, because all things are logical, all things are also possible. If you apply logic to dream world situations based on limited knowledge, of course you will have things that appear to be illogical but that's only 'cause we JUST DON"T KNOW ENOUGH (YET). This perspective comes from my belief in a God that is omniscient. Because he knows all things, all things are also possible. Of course, this goes beyond what we are able to do right now in the world. I have a feeling that the things that will be "possible" 100 years from now (if we're still here and we haven't blown ourselves back to the ice/stone-age) will be mind-blowing to say the least... and what about 1000 years from now (just a guess)? Who's to say that we won't have "progressed" so far as to make it possible for albino elephants to grow wings...

      Hmmm,interesting.

Well a 100 years might be a little short I think, but a longer period we might have that kinda knowledge,to many people are still not looking further then this world. This might change with future generation, but I do agree if we dont blow ourselves back into the stone age, which is most likely is going to happen(several 100ds of years I think).According to my beliefs the planet might have been blown up several times before because of human foolishness and restored by the power of the cosmos(god) and started all over again..think like the matrix,it was reset several times but nobody knew, there was no evidence
