Picked up some melatonin and B6.. confused about the melaton

Hey.. I went to wal-mart and got me some melatonin and B-6.

The b-6 tabs are 100 mg per tablet.
The Melatonin are only 300 MCG per tab..
so they are pretty small.

1000 mcg (microgram) = 1 mg, right?

So how many of these tabs should i be takin for melatonin..

and I should take them 30 min before bed, right?

THats pretty small, if 1000 mcg's is one mg. My melatonin comes in 3mg pills. Thats how much I take and it works like a charm.

im thinking about taking about 6 or 7 pills the first few nights until I get to a pharmacy store like GNC or somewhere and get some 3mg pills..

10 does sound like a lot. Are you sure 1000mcg=1mg? I think that's right..

Edit: The place where you got your pills should have the 3mg ones too. I got mine at Walgreens.

Try looking in Walgreens or Jewel. Those places always have a bunch of.. stuff..

just take like 6 or 7 pills until i get the 3mg pills?

How much does it recommend on the bottle? I bet it'll say to take one tablet, even though it's a small dose. You never know, you might not even need a whole 3mg. Experiment. Take one tablet one night, 7 the next. If you find out that you only need one tiny dose anyway, you'll save some money.

Oh okay, do that then. Try taking half in the evening and the other half 30 mins before bed. And then try taking it all before bed. See what works. By the way, how many came in the bottle?

Yeah, definitely get the 3mg ones. I have 150ish tablets, and those will last a long time.. since you're not gonna need more than one a night. At they were pretty cheap, too, about $6.
