You made the jump from dreaming to conscious realization that you were dreaming. You were lucid, at least for a while. |

I had a dream the other night where I was subconsciously aware that I was dreaming. My conscious mind was still asleep. I remember thinking in my dream voice, "I must be dreaming..."etc. When I woke up I remembered that like a normal dream. I had no conscious control. Is this considered lucid? |

I'm thinking that in a low level lucid dream....it is the subconcious being aware not the concious mind as a result of day residue, from coming to this website to knowing that U could be in a dream. But for high level lucidity as in U can remember the date and other waking reality stuff....it IS the concious mind. |

That just happened to me tonight :/. Except I never went lucid, kinda frustrating but hey, we're getting somewhere. |

Some people claim that it is possible to have a non-lucid dream about being lucid, without "really being lucid." It sounds like this is what you're referring to. My view, however, is that if you said aloud that you were dreaming while you were dreaming, then you were lucid, period. |
