      Hello

My friend told me about these lucid dreams that are possible to have and I am curious about new things in life so I wanted to find out more about it. After spending a couple of hours reading about it, I realized that I've been able to do something like that for some time now. I just didn't know what it was. Anyway, just now, after reading this website I decided to go take a nap and try to remember what I dream.

Calming myself to sleep I stared dreaming, but it was very weak and it was breaking up. One moment I was at work with my friends, next thing I know I could feel my bed again and realize that I was dreaming, that repeated a few time and I thought it was very cool, almost felt like jumping up because I was so exited.

Then, I guess, I was falling in deeper sleep and I kinda freaked out, I tried to calm myself down by thinking I'm lucid dreaming and it's all a dream but I lost it and freaked out. I tried to wake myself up but couldn't; and that's where I really lost it, it felt like my heart rate tripled and I was being squished, there was also VERY loud buzz in my ears. I got really scared and tried to open my eyes but it was extremely hard to do. I finally got my eyes open but I was paralyzed for 10 seconds or so. It was really scary but cool at the same time.

Anyway this is pretty cool and the fact that it doesn't really take the time out of the day is awesome.

Just thought like saying hello and I'll be checking back here,

      Hello Yuri!

It sounds like you are doing pretty well already, you have already experienced Sleep Paralysis. Good luck

Yuri, sleep paralysis is pretty frightening the first time you experience it but once you know what it is, you can use it to let you know that lucidity is getting close if you can just not panic your way out of it.

As for this forum, you might want to review the Newbie Zone Guide for helpful information about this site: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36723

You might also want to check out the Tutorials forum which contains information on the various lucid dreaming techniques and other helpful stuff: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25

If you should have any questions, please ask and we'll do our best to get you answers.

      Welcome to Dream Views!

Thanks for replies. I don't have too much time on my hands so I did not finish reading the whole website before my nap earlier today. Now, I am back from the gym and I had some time to think about what happened and finish the reading.

Something interesting that I thought I'd share. What I have experienced before and read so far reminded me A LOT of salvia. For those who don't know Salvia is a very powerful hallucinogen that is *still* legal in most states of America. It is a plant (usually concentrated) that is smoked . I have had one experience with saliva and from what I understand so far it sounds very much alike with lucid dreaming.

I will write more about my experience with salvia below, if you are interested.

Like I said before it is a very powerful hallucinogenic plant. You can get it in different extract concentration 5x (5 times as powerful as natural plant), 10x, 15x, 20x, and so on 40x being very potent. For my first time, about a month ago me and my friends went out and bought some 40x salvia. I should also mention there is a specific way to smoke it--you absolutely have to use a torch lighter, or any flame with equal or higher temperature. It is also highly recommended to use glass bong. You have to pack a full bowl and really torch it, not just light it. The whole bowl should be burned in one hit.
After 15 seconds of inhaling, it hit me very hard. I can only guess all the times but I would say for another 15 seconds it was very weird indescribable feeling. Next 5 to 10 minutes must have been the strangest and the scariest of my life. Everything around me was darkness that was sucking me in and I was falling into it. To my right there was a tube/tunnel/pipe that was slowly rotating counter clock-wise. That tube was made up of millions/thousands/hundreds? of the exact rooms that we were in. In every room there were the same people in the same spots, it was like million of wolds coexisting on one tube. I was desperately trying not to get sucked in the darkness, and get back in my world. I was trying to grab on anything, in the room but I could not hold on and kept falling. It was very scary and I felt like crying (I am a guy BTW and don't feel like crying too often lol). I thought I would never be able to get back in my world and have my life back. It felt like I was dieing. As I started calming down I was back in the room but I thought it was a different world and those weren't really my friends. After I would say 20 minutes I stated remembering I smoked saliva but I was still very scared. I stole the torch lighter and was begging my friends who were about to smoke not to do it. Another 20 minutes or so were spent by me trying to completely sober up and snap out of it.
After exactly 1 hour I was able to say I am completely normal. It was very frighting and I still don't think I'll ever do it again. Three of the people that did it with me all liked it a lot, it lasted about 20 minutes total for them. All of us, however, had very similar trip in the way the we could see or are being separated in different worlds or time dimensions; with the same fear of losing our old lives.

In the conclusion I don't know if lucid dreams really do feel like saliva, but it seems like both make the most impossible things feel very real. Also two of my friends were sort of able to remember they were tripping and really enjoyed it. Maybe salvia trips can also be controlled like lucid dreams?

What do you think? Have you ever done salvia and you think it might be somehow connected? I have also read online that some people had strange dreams next few nights after salvia.
