I used to put myself into sleep paralysis when I was bored in class.
Like, I would just let my arm rest on the table and go into SP.
      It was pretty fun!

I doubt that is SP - it's merely cutting off blood flow to your arm until it gets numb, a.k.a - having your arm fall asleep. Were you applying any pressure to the arm?

SP is the entire body being purposely paralyzed as part of the sleep process. Hence, you must be asleep for it to happen.

No, not making the arm numb, not cutting off blood flow.
Just leaving it perfectly still until I get the same feelings as SP.
After a while it starts to feel heavy and then like it isn't there at all.

Hehe, I think I'm gonna do it right now. It's fun.

It is very easy to numb your arm. I'm pretty sure you didn't go through SP, otherwise your whole body would have been paralyzed and numb. I think that is a very dumb thing to do in class.

I guess I'm not explaining it right, or maybe it isn't sleep paralysis.

I know that when I do it sleeping or awake, I'm never really paralyzed. It just feels like I can't move my body, and I can't feel anything. But if I try really hard then I can move. That's what happens to me.

Whatever is happening, the same thing happens both when I go to sleep and when I do it to my arm. If that isn't sleep paralysis, then I guess I never go into sleep paralysis, even when I sleep!
