      Transition between dreams...

Hey, I'm kind of new to this place and I suppose this doesn't pertain particularly to lucid dreams, but rather dreaming general:
Do you ever experience the transition between different dreams? And if so, what is it like?

I haven't experienced an awareness when my dreams change, but when I'm awake I remember the fairly obvisous changes in my dream story-lines. I'm not sure if you can feel the actual transition because after REM cycles your brain returns to a deeper sleep where you can't have dreams. If you look at the whole sleep cycle, you can see what kinds of brain waves are given off and only during REM are dreams possible.

That would be kind of interesting to experience, tho. I usually wake up at least once, normally after my first REM cycle.

BTW, welcome to the forum and sweet lucid dreams!

      Whoo, welcome to the forums!!

I second what Ame said.. although I seem to know where one dream completely ends and another begins when I wake up and start remembering. I seem to know. lol

Usually my dreams will fade out like a movie and my memory will stop recording, so obviously I don't usually remember the end of my dreams. Then, what I often can remember, is a black void of emptiness. I don't know if I'm 'supposed' to remember this 'void', but we'll settle with the idea that my mind's "special", hehe.
Other than that sometimes I get fed up with the dangers of a certain dream, 'close my eyes' in the dream world and think hard of seeing nothing but white. Then my mind becomes like a blank piece of paper unto which I can 'draw' the world I desire.

Sometimes it flows smoothly together. Other times it's just something bizarre (but you don't realize the outlandishness of this until you wake up because in dreams anything and everything seems 'normal').

I've never experienced/remembered the transistion, but I think the first dream will just fade into the other one. Or one dream will just stop, you wont have any dreams for a few minutes, then another dream with start.

Do false awakenings count as different dreams?

My transitions are often me sort of falling asleep in my dream then having an FA into the next dream.
