Is a WILD possible at anytime durring SP? (I only had 2 hours of sleep, woke up wrote in the journal, then I felt sleep paralysis starting but I stopped it.)
and it seems like wild's are the best, or most used. Is there a big differnece between WILD and DILD? I mean what one seems more real and detail, what one lasts longer?
WILDs are only possible when you are in a REM cycle, or about to start one. That won't happen right away at bedtime, but you hit the first cycle after about 90 minutes of sleep. You might feel like you are starting to get sleep paralysis without being at a REM cycle.
I believe that WILDs are commonly used because they are pretty much "instant" lucid dreams, and you only have to work to have them there and then. Everyone who has successfully done a WILD can tell you that just the feeling and experience of having a dream appear before you without being asleep first, is amazing. WILDs tend to be more vivid than DILDs from my own experience and from what I've seen on the forums, but this is not always the case. They can both last for a short time, or a long time. It's hard to tell.
You are free to use either technique, of course. Use the one that you want to try, and the one that works for you. DILDs require more consistent work, but is well worth it when it starts to pay off.
