      Creating a new world

So, I am curious, has anyone ever actually created a world in which they played a recurring role (no matter how major or minor)?

Doing it for one night is no different from another adventure. It might be great but once it is done it is done.

What I refer to is creating a world which one returns to and plays through a story. It would be like a home away from home.

I know some members like BillyBob alluded to wanting experiences like this.

I too would love to return to a world, with the same characters, and develop with the story and community I created. I have even tried it, but I am no master at lucid dreaming, so it is difficult to attempt something so randomly (especially when I have other things I would like to accomplish as well). Unfortunately, it is not as easy as saving data, like one might do in a game.

I am not aware of many stories in which this has happened. Really, I wonder if it is even possible to start where one left off in an imaginary world.

      What are your experiences DV?

I have never done it, but I think it is possible but very hard.

Some people here at DV have their own dream stories that they continue when they go to sleep. So this is possible. I ,myself, do not have a dream story.

User Abra's Dream Journal "Inside the Pokeball", is largely story based, however, Abra does not update her journal as frequently as many other members. It is an eloquent and exciting dream journal and I recommend you read it.

The best way I could think that you could start is to spend a little time each day during your waking hours daydreaming about whatever kind of world that you want to participate in. Think of the locations, the people, the storylines, and just sort of spend some time each day imagining what it would be like.

If you really stuck to it and kept it up I could see it eventually carrying over into your dreaming life.

I agree though, it would be cool.

well if you can summon people, teleport, and pretty much control everything you can do in a dream, then I dont see why it wouldn't be possible. You just have to practice until you get really good at control
