Journal Account of a Past Oneironaut

This is one of the first web sites I found while studying lucid dreaming. It is the account of a dream explorer from the 70's! Just the fact that it was so long ago made it seem pretty neat. He has some cool things to say and experiments to try. These are his basic goals:

      1. Find hands and maintain image

      2. Stop the world

      3. Close eyes in a lucid dream

      4. Commit suicide in a lucid dream

He had detailed and interesting results, so be sure to check it out!

Wow and LD'er from 30 years ago....thats pretty awesome. It must have been a lot rarer back then as well, without the power of the internet and modern communication to spread the idea around. Cheers for the link.

Attempting to fly off a cliff is NOT a recommended reality check.

Yeah, it is a pretty great account. The ending is unfortunately sad for the man, but also intriguing. Towards the end he explains how he became so adept at lucidity that it occurred all the time. Not only that, he began to gain some control over his body's movement while remaining in a dream conscious state. It's really wild! Eventually it got to the point where he no longer recognized the barriers between life, sleep, lucidity, consciousness and dreams. In the end he discontinued his research because of this.

For a while I thought that I would never have a lucid again because my subconscious was preventing that from happening to me. I've decided I don't really care if they lock me up, I can spend all my time enjoying lucids Even prison doesn't sound so bad anymore hahaha!
