That sounds very much like a WILD. Congratulations, they can be quite hard to do! Well done! |

I had my first lucid dream last night, I woke up slightly earlier than I intended to get up, so I tried to visualise myself back in the last scene of the dream I had just had (I think this is a MILD). However, after a couple of minutes I started to notice flashes of colour and I found that I couldn't move my feet (sleep paralysis) I soon started to hear an unsettling sound not unlike a wolf howling. These things I have described sound more like what happens whenever you enter a WILD so I kept with it and sure enough I entered a lucid dream, so was my lucid a MILD or a WILD? Can anyone help me out? |

Thanks for helping me sort that one out. Basically I found myself in my bedroom and thought cool I'm having a lucid dream. For some reason, I'm not quite sure why, I decided to go into the bathroom, I looked at myself in the mirror and didn't notice anything unusual about my reflection. The thought suddenly occurred maybe this is actually real. I decided to try and prove it was a lucid dream my imagining our cat would be in my bedroom when I went back in there, so I ran back into my bedroom and the cat strolled out past me. To futher convince myself I decided to look at my digital clock it read 7:67 (it didn't occur to me at the time that it is impossible to have 67 minutes in an hour) I looked away for a few seconds and when I looked back it just said 17, so I new it was a lucid dream. I decided to go outside so I thought I had better put some clothes on; until this point I had been in my underwear. I tried to imagine I was wearing some clothes, unfortunately it didn't work and my dream started to fade. By the time I thought to do a dream enhancing technique like rubing my hands together it was too late but I didn't care as I had had my first lucid dream. |
