Nope. I have never heard Lucid dreaming EVER even mentioned on TV. Did they go into detail about what Lucid Dreams are? |

LD on cable TV!!
YES. You read it correct. On the History channel no less. I heard it with my own two ears.
They were discussing Alien abduction and some scientists brought up the case of it being a Lucid dream. They did not go into detail about Lucid Dreaming but it is the first time I have everheard Lucid dreaming brought up on the television. Maybe I lead a sheltered life
Anyone else see this?

The show was about aliens and one scientist's beleif was that it could be either a Lucid dream or an out OBE. With no more explanation than that. Pretty weak. But still mentioned

They briefly discussed it this afternoon on a radio station I was listening to, nearly had a heart attack.
People talking about LD in real life?!? It can't be true! LOL

that would be a good RC...aha... but ive never heard people on tv or the radio talking about it, that's pretty cool!
i only saw the novadreamer in one of those "things you never thought you have to have" catologs, that's how i found out about lucid dreaming.

I've only heard one article on the Novadreamer, I think that's all. Coincidentally that's how I found out about LDs.

Why would an alien ubduction be an LD, If it was, they would know it was just a dream... and well... probly wouldnt have been ubducted..

I'll go on Ellen or the Wayne Brady show! It would be awesome if a group of us did something like that. (I wanted to use the word "contingent" but I didn't think it was in the right context) I probably wouldn't be selected, though, because I'm not in the privleged club. Maybe they'd want input from beginners, though?!?

I heard about it many years ago on a show called Beyond 2000, which was obviously before this millennium. The host was talking about the... um... well I forget what it's called, but it's the device which detects REM and then flashes a light so that you can realize that you are dreaming, and then have a lucid dream. He said, if I remember correctly, to think about seeing red lights before you go to bed as well.

i never heard about lucid dreaming on tv i just had one and looked up "know your dreaming" on the internet the closest thing i ever heard about lucid dreaming on tv was a charmed episode where one of them was having vivid dreams they didn't ever call it lucid dreaming hmm.... i wonder how many people actually know about lucid dreaming

Seeker and I along time ago had pondered how why and if we should try to get the word out. I think at that time there were about 140 -200 members.

Since then Dream Views has obviously progressed as well as LD4all.
I have seen it now on TV
I have read an article in Time magazine about dreams. Thay did fail to mention Lucid Dreaming. I wrote to the editor. I am waiting for a reply. (How can you specifically have an entire article on the new science of dreams,the main cover story, and not mention LD's?????????????
Anywho
I think the word is getting out.

i've seen articles on lucid dreaming 3 times now in 2 different mags/papers... really cool.
