First lucid experience in years!

Okay, not going to write down the entire dream because it was a long one, but I went lucid tonight! 8D I had been standing at the sea shore and I had this book of spells that I was reading from, and as I read stuff appeared (a kettle, stuff inside it). I don't remember what spell I was performing, but suddenly this little girl and her mother walked by and I had to stop. I frantically tried to cover up the fact that I had been doing magic, and we talked for a bit and finally ended up in this sort of circular room in a tower. I looked out of the window and saw that the horizon (we were still by the sea) was somehow wrong. So I realized I was dreaming. At the moment I realized this I started waking up, but I managed to force myself back into the dream. I did the number one thing that I have been looking forward to doing in lucid dreams - flying. I just let myself float out of the window (it was pretty easy, I just spread my arms and away I went) and hovered outside talking to the mother and daughter. At the beginning I kept telling myself "I am lucid, I am lucid" to stop losing awareness, but then, sadly, I got distracted trying to convince them that I was in fact not doing magic at the sea shore and I lost lucidity. It was a short experience, but awesome. When I was little I used to have lucid dreams all the time but I haven't in, well, ages (at least that I can remember) and I'm really exited. 8D *shimmies around* Just felt like I wanted to share this with everyone.

Well done!! I have the exact same problem! I was able to control my dreams effortlessly pretty much every night when I as a child but it's been such a long time. *Sniff sniff* I'm jealous of you.
