a wedding and a black dress

I had a dream this morning, and it was completely lucid. I have had lucid dreams before, but they are far and few between, and usually when I was much younger (I am 19 right now). Most of my dreams that I recall, are either under the influence of psychedelic substances and entheogens, or very simple and not at all lucid and consist mostly of 2-D images that I have trouble making out, and are very random (more like short slideshows of images, then a real dreaming experience). However! This morning I had the weirdest dream, the night before I smoked a few joints of marijuana, but aside from that I was quite sober. It began as a wedding, and i slowly began to realise I was dreaming, i'm not quite sure, but I just knew... then I saw my ex-girlfriend, who i had a pretty lengthy, romantic, complex relationship that ended in a pretty hellish state. I saw her marrying another man, who was not her current boyfriend, and she was wearing a black dress, rather than the traditional white for a wedding. She then began to walk away from the man (the wedding had already passed, and this was at the after-ceremony party type thing) and my vision zoomed up to her face, where I then could see her eyes, incredibly sad-seeming and she looked at me for several seconds, then turned away and I awoke. The especially weird thing about this dream was that I could see her eyes, and feel her breath, feel her live .. it was like she was physically standing in front of me, wheras most dreams or mental realities or what not I have experienced have been heavily detached from the physical realm. Hmm...I think that, maybe, you've been thinking about this Ex a lot. And if not a lot, then on a deep (maybe personal) level. How long ago was the break-up? (If you don't mind me asking...) Do you still keep in touch?

I guess about 6 months ago, it was a very on-off thing however, so I guess its been like 4 or 5 months since I last talked to her .. aside from indirect communication through friends or what not, and I got an msn message from her about two weeks ago about how she was watching the part of a movie that we watched together, and she missed because she fell asleep on my shoulder.

2 weeks ago is somewhat recent... Yep, I say you've been thinking about her, either on a conscious, subcunscious, or unconscious level. It doesn't take long for dreams like that to go away, but I guess it depends on the person...

but it was just a random msn message, I haven't seen her in months .. and I could still accurately portray her physical self within my mind ..

I haven't seen tons of friends of mine in years, yet I can still picture them perfectly. Memory is sometimes a weird thing... Okay, maybe the dream is trying to tell you something. Like, either forget about her and find another, or go and try to get her back. (If she's still single, of course) Dreams like this sometimes happen to a friend of mine, when she breaks up with someone.

she told me, me not having mentioned the above dream, that she also had some dream about me .. apparently we were on a porch and i had a twin with parkinsons, and she said that i said he had a shakey start or something .. and she woke up laughing and she said "which I never do". fuckin' crazy bullshite
