Lucid Dreaming devices? anyone with experience?

I bought the Dream Maker program with mask which was developed by Stephen Laberge and this is the upgrade for the Novadreamer. The first time i use it withouth even reading the program included i got a lucid dream. This device flashes a red light when the Rem cycle starts.

I was dreaming i was being chased by someone with a knife and suddenly i start watching a red light flashing in front of me and then i thought the light on the mask is to high and then Voila, i remember that i was dreaming.

This device did help me achieve lucidity. I would love to hear from those with experience with any other devices.

I guess you wouldn't be interested in the 'lucid device' I used.... Anyway it's a home made set-up based on my own REM timings. Problem is that it goes off and I do 'see' it in the dream but don't recognize I'm dreaming. I do know that it is the light that went off but that's about it.... I guess your DreamMaker wouldn't help much for me....

Well the diference is that this mask detects your eye movement when dreaming, so is very convenient because you don't have to guess or calculate when you are gonna be dreaming. But i guess what works for some may not work for others.

But if you do notice your lightning device while dreaming, then you just have to train your mind to recognize it so you can be aware you are dreaming.

I did set the light to go off every hour during the day and do the RC when I see it go off...din't stick with it for long because of other ideas to get lucid. Maybe I should try it again.... That's what I like about Dreamviews, some posts reminds me of previous methods that I have abandoned and forgotten.

The one thing I didn't like about the Nova Dreamer. Is from the few experiences I read, the light kept going off even after the dreamer became Lucid, messing with the dream.

It would be great if the flashing light was a dreamsign you learned to recognize just about all the time. But, once Lucid, I don't want the light screwing with my dream. Maybe it's not like that now, I don't know.

Right now I set a timer on my watch. I do an RC every time the timer goes off. I don't try to hear the timer in my sleep, I turn it off when sleeping. I'm just trying to make myself dream of my watch timer going off, and then do an RC in the dream. I've had a little success with it, but no full blown Lucid because of it yet.

One time I dreamed of the timer going off, and was in a situation where I was embarrassed to do the RC. So I failed on one that could have been very successful. I no longer care about doing the RC. I do them regardless of where I am, or who I'm talking with.
