I've tried Galantamine, I think the effects are really cool during the day such as richer colors and things seem brighter and clearer. It hasn't in itself made me lucid yet though. One supplement that has made me and others that I recommended it to, believe it or not is DMAE. You can get it at any local vitamin/supplement store - GNC.

Both of these supplements increase Acetylcholine in the brain which is directly correlated with Alpha Brainwaves where REM occurs right around 10Hz is where the visual aspect of dreaming happens according to the research.

When taken during the day it also makes things clearer not as much as Galantamine does, but when taking 100Mg at bedtime, whoo, I'm in and out of dreams all night, not really getting a good nights rest. But it's very good for getting lucid. It makes you feel like those days you stay home sick and stay in bed until 11AM going in and out of sleep and dreams. This is one of the BEST time for getting lucid.

Yes - the time you're talking about is what is called on the mask Q-Time and is fully adjustable. It adjusts the time the cue is seen in the dream from 1.5 seconds to 30 seconds. I mean once your lucid who wants to keep seeing the flashing? Then on the other hand if you're a heavy sleeper and the cue is not coming thru then you want to set it for the maximum 30 seconds and turn the brightness up. Also once the mask is triggered from a REM event it will then trigger a timer to wait 20 - 30 minutes before it even looks for REM again, when you turn the timer on that is.

      >Also does this device allow for feedback?

      What kind of feedback?

      >Or is it purely a cueing device?

The only feedback are the eye movements.

      >Can the eye movements you make whilst dreaming initiate programs?
Such as have a set eye movment for "Im lucid now, no need to cue me again" which the device then recognises and initiates that particular subroutine?

It doesn't do that now but the DreamMask Pro might have that since I love the idea and I know it's been done by Laberge.

Please understand, I'm an excellent engineer/product designer and I want to take this technology "lucid dreaming" as far as it can go with todays technology. So feedback and ideas from you guys in the trenches are great!

      Dream Mask Too Expensive

Don't buy Dream Mask yet... Wait! Here in Ukraine, we have much knowledge of Lucid Dreams, longer research. Soon, maybe Febuary 2009, we will offer better tools for same purpose. Dream Mask is too much money for such simple tool. Only $30 US in cost, $300 to you? Wait longer, try other methods first. You will see how simple LD is without spending your money. Here, that is $1,500 hrn, enough to pay rent and for whole month. Dream Mask is good thought, but not good tool. Just wait..

I've heard that one is more expensive and not as good. There's a kit for $30 you can make your own that works the same way that everyone of them out there does.
