      New to lucid and interested.

Just today i hear about lucid dreaming, i read the definition and i realized that i have been having lucid dreams for the past 3-4 years. When i was younger i had many scary dreams, but i somehow managed to conquer those fears and i stood up to all the enemies i was dreaming about. This has also helped my in real life, as i am now much more brave and motivated.

My lucid dreams are very consistant. When i was younger i would watch shows of superhuman people fighting to protect the earth. I dream about me and a a group of people fighting the galaxies best warriors and i am allwyas the last one to fight them. Im never strong enough to win... so the enemy kills those around me, when they are dead, i get into a frenzy and i am able to summon incredible power, enough to defeat all my enemies.

Another very consistant one contains women. I am allways with one very nice girl, or at least i think she is nice. I treat her as best i can but she allways ends up breaking my heart. I have never had a dream about a perfect woman, its very strange its the only thing i cannot control in my dreams. I am able to manipulate everything else.

Anyone else have a similar experience? I am new here and interested in making comparisons. Also feel free to comment on my post.

actually that sounds like fun. a LOT of fun with the whole warriors thing. I dont have those dreams a lot..but maybe i can incubate one...hmm

      err anyway, welcome to dreamviews.

as for the girl, not sure about that. I dont pay attention to my dream characters. I choose to be distant from them and they do the same when im lucid dreaming. if perhaps they even try to talk to me i tell them to leave me alone or else. When you meet this girl, are you lucid? If you are, then my advice is to just ignore her or get rid of her(the easy way or the hard way, you pick) and DONT get emotionally involved with her which it seems that you are. Tell her that this is ust a dream and shes just a DC...id like to see her reaction after that. Maybe she could join your lucid adventure as well.

please tell me how it goes..im interested

I've been a lucid dreamer for about the past 10 years... Lately (over the last year or two) I have been having a lot of super-hero type dreams. I used to read a lot of comic books when I was younger, hence my dreams often include beings with superhuman-powers like superman, x-men, silver surfer, green lantern, etc. (I also used to read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy/horror like King, Koontz, Saul, etc. ) Often when I 'm in a lot of "trouble," I form a ring based on Green Lantern's power ring or I will form a suit (sort of like a celestial skin-suit or light suit of armor in order to fend off attacks).

As far as the girl who breaks your heart.... Not really much similarity in my dreams, but I do have lots of them where there are these extremely beautiful women who try to seduce me. When I become aware that they are trying to deceive me to get my guard down, they turn into these vampire-like or witch-like creatures that latch on to me like human leeches and drain my energy...

At first these types tended to freak me out because of their "ultra-hyperreality" and I used to wonder at their detail and what they meant, but I have grown somewhat used to them. Most of the time, especially when I get in over my head, I pray and this either changes the dream or grants me some sense of peace amidst the chaotic or violent dreams.

Wierd... I replied to this post yesterday ??

Anyway, short and sweet... I've also fallen in love... actually woke up in tears cos I didn't want to lose it.
And when I was younger, I also had quite a few nightmare situations I had to overcome
