Cool Don't become lucid even when odd things happen...

I am new here and trying to lucid dream...i've been doing reality checks and dream diary and so forth...
      but...
even when odd stuff happens in my dreams i don't notice, like, i was throwing celery at someone trying to stop them from shooting at me and superman and i didn't even get the slightest inkling that something maybe slightly odd might've been happening. (wow, long sentence.)
So what can i do about that? do i have to 'heighten' my awareness or something?
Would going to sleep with a task help me become lucid?
      Thanks

LOL! Throwing celery I had this problem aswell. I was able to jump up two stories and such yet it didnt hit me. I gave up for a bit with trying to lucid then the first night back i focused half heartedly and something as simple as being naked made me realise i was dreaming. Maybe you just have to get used to different signs or not focus too hard?

Well honestly i dont have much experience but when i first learnt about lucid dreaming i though it was mad and was really focused before bed like "I WILL DREAM AND I WILL LUCID" kinda forcing into my head thing whereas the first time i just sorta though less about it like "Hey, if i dream im going to notice". But really its a very personal thing so i think you gotta find out what works best for you. Also Its all in your head so if you believe you can, you will have a better chance. Being confident helps alot.

      Thanks,
I think i will try the 'meh, i'll notice' tonight, cuz i tried forcing it into my head and ended up with telling some dogs off for stealing.
      Thanks for the help!
