      Feedback and Advice. WILD method

so this was my second attempt at performing a WILD. it went something like

I laid down on my back and began to monitor my breathing. Slowly taking breaths. As I became more entranced I began receiving light patterns again, except this time they had no color to them. These faded very fast and about 20 minutes into the trial I was already experiencing Hypnogogic Imagery similiar to a dinosaur/town scene i got the other time i tried. This time it was a spacecraft zooming under my eyelids. I was used to it by now so I was enjoying these images and clips more. About 25 minutes in I had gone deeper in then previously attempted in the morning. As I began counting as to not become unconscious I realized something. My body was slowly twisting itself on my bed and it felt as if I was now sleeping on my bed with half of my body straight and the other bent at a 90 degree angle with a twist in it. Suddenly I felt my bed begin to spin out of control. As my bed spun around I was trying to relax but it was pretty damn hard. What was going through my head was emotions of paranoia of what might happen mixed with excitement. I thought these might ruin the attempt but to my surprise they didn't. My bed stopped spinning... For a brief second I thought I had failed when I suddenly felt the most INTENSE Vibrations you could imagine. My whole house was shaking my body felt like it was about to come apart and my eyes/eyelids were fluttering up and down, I had no say in what my body was doing. I embraced the vibrations and then BAM! I felt like I was just catapulted from my bed and into the sky, passing through the ceiling in the process (Note: My eyes weren't open so it wasn't visual just sensational). For a brief few seconds I thought I was flying. I thought about opening my eyes but didnt know whether or not I was supposed to do so. These feelings were shortly replaced with new ones I could not even describe, but sadly I began to come down into regular consciousness again.

So. advice? when should i open my eyes? did i get close? and also ive been hearing a lot about people having very detailed imagery. My imagery is the opposite. It usually consists of blue and black. blue being the background and black being everything else in the image/clip. Is this alright? I've never experienced anything more in detail or viveder

This just sounds scary =\ I've never experienced anything like it. This really isn't so much a method as it is an experience. In my opinion i say leave it behind. Although my post count is low. I can tell you I've read over 10 lucid dreaming books and books associated with dreaming and never once have i heard anything similar. Most of my WILDs just start with thinking patterns, imagination, and voila! I'm in the dreamworld. Not lucid at first of course but with enough practice you can become lucid in more than half of your attempts to WILD.

hmmm strange. I thought the whole point of the WILD method was to be lucid as soon as you enter your dream, seeing as how your mind remains conscious as you enter the dream. I figured the eye thing was the REM affect and the vibrations meaning my body was going through SP. Figured it was normal. I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens

Well, I have to say that seems a LOT farther than I've gotten in any WILD I've tried, and I've been trying for-freaking-ever. First off, there are Reality Checks you can do that don't require movement, such as trying to hold your breath. There are others, but that should be another thread. Also, everyone's WILD experience, at least from what I've read here, is different. Some people don't even get imagery, for example.

All in all, you seem close.

      it happened again...

my 3rd time trying. Started with HI and eventually i got so deep in that I felt my bed spinning vigorously, all of a sudden i felt massive vibrations and felt like I was flung from my bed, these vibrations lasted a long time.

So what the hell was I supposed to do? Open my eyes or what? Someone please help

how bout you try next time and see what happens keep in mind its just your "dream eyes" that will open (should you actually be dreaming, which will probably always be a yes if you had experienced all that stuff before hand)

I have just discovered what WILDS are about a week ago but have been having them for about two years now. Let me explain. I live in a quite apartment by myself. Before this I lived in my parent's basement. I was woken up often by the sound of someone coming down the stairs and hitting the foundation beam. I started to hear these sounds in my apartment in the morning while falling back to sleep. I would raise my head and they would be gone. After about 2 months of this I decided to try and ignore it. I then experienced my body start to shake like there was a ghost shaking me. It freaked me out but continued to happen often. I thought that either my apartment was haunted or I was going crazy. I decided to try and ignore this unnatural shaking of my body. Next step, I fell out of bed. This happened a few times and woke me up. However, one time I stood up a was weightless. I started flying threw from my old bedroom in my parents house through the house and outside.

I have had about a WILD a week for the last 6 months. I found this website and found out about WILD and have had 4 in the last 6 nights. I an very raw in my talents and have found it fascinating to apply the concepts that I have found in this site. I can usually tell if I am able to have a WILD. It always happens between 7-8 am. I always fall out of bed to start the dream.
