      Some serious sleep depriviation... :D

Ok, since I started college I couldnt get *any* rem sleep...
Right now it's my like 84th hour without REM :/
I'm going crazy My thinking seems clear, but I have conflicting emotion and hallucinations.
first there were slight hallucinations in my periferial vision, then itch all over my body (like there's small bugs on me ) now I can feel "force" inside my body, kinda shifting me...

not to mention that every time i close my eyes , HI starts to form within seconds and creates quite cool pictures...

      nice, huh?

      ok, going to bed now

Yeah, there were cool effects, like people's speech entered the dream, light flashes could be seen as flashlight flashes (kinda like novadreamer I guess)

well, just after I posted that topic, even weirder stuff started to happen:
-robotic movements (kinda like DXM trip)
-loss of sensitivity (couldnt distinguish textures)
-when I hit the bed, all kinds of mini dreams started to form, but as soon as I realized they were dreams, it stopped...
-at one point I found myself in a lucid dream, but dont remember what happened...
-Just laying in bed, I could move objects in my "mini dreams " with dream hands and kinda feel dream body...

      now I'm awake

Ev you make sleep deprivation seem like so much fun.

What where these mini dreams like, was it easy to get out of them when you went to lay down?

Id like to try now, nut will have to wait until the holidays, as it will interfere with daily life too much.

Just on google if anyone wants a look

it wasnt really that much fun, kinda like getting drunk/high
first time I hit the bed, minidreams were really cool, but then I woke up and couldnt enter minidreams I knew they were dreams and there was no way to fall asleep while I knew they were dreams...

So i had to meditate on my intent to abandon lucid dreaming for that night just to fall asleep

a few months ago i was sick and couldn't sleep for a few days and it was pretty wierd.
I would look at the ceiling or my carpet or something and i would see all kinds of pictures and cartoons in it and when i closed my eyes it was like i was playing a video game.
At the worst point i was pretty much delerious and i had 3 people in my head. I told myself "we need to get to sleep".

It was actually kind of cool though

In the memorable topics section, someone (I think Onus) had problems with not having enough REM.
He had MAJOR issues... very similar to sleep deprivation it seems.
So sleep isnt all about repairing the body

      [EDIT]
One thing's for sure - REM time definitely cleans up your memory.
On one particular night, I couldn't remember for sure the name of the restaurant I was dragged to. The next morning it was crystal clear to me... the brain is an interesting thing.
