But I guess it's okay, he'll forget about it in 10 seconds (50 First Dates: 10 second Bob )

ok, this technique is from EWLD, if you already have it... then i'll be annoyed because i typed all of this up.

      EXERCISE: PROSPECTIVE MEMORY TRAINING.

      1. Read the days's targets
This exercise is designed to be practised over an entire week. Below is a set of four target events for each day of the week. When you get up in the morning, read only the targets for that day. (Do not read the targets before the proper day.) Memorise the day's targets.

      2. Look for your targets during the day
Your goal is to notice the next occurrence of each event, at which time you will perform a state test: \"Am i dreaming?\" So, if your target is, \"The next time i hear a dog bark,\" when you hear this next, note it and do a state test. You are aiming to notice the target once - next time it happens.

      3. Keep track of how many target events you hit
At the end of the day, write down how many of the four target events you succeded in noticing (you can make a space in your dream journal to record your progress with this exercise). If you realise during the day that you missed your first chance to notice one of your targets, then you have failed to hit that target, even though you may notice its occurrence later in the day. If you are certain that one or more of your targets did not occur at all during the day, say so with a note in your dream journal.

      4. Contine the exercise for at least one week
Practise the exercise until you have tried all of the daily targets given below. If at the end of the week, you are still missing most of the targets, continue until you can hit most of them. Make up a list of your own targets, keep track or your succes rate, and observe how your memory develops.

      Daily Targets:
      SUNDAY:
The next time I see a pet or animal
The nest time I look at my face in the mirror
The next time I turn on a light
The next time I see a flower

      MONDAY:
The next time I write anything down
The next time I feel pain
The next time I hear someone say my name
The next time I drink something

      TUESDAY:
The next time I see a traffic light
The next time I hear music
The next time I throw something in the garbage
The next time I hear laughter

      WEDNESDAY:
The next time I turn on a television or radio
The next time I see a vegtable
The next time I see a red car
The next time I handle money

      THURSDAY:
The next time I read something other than this list
The next time I check the time
The next time I notice myself daydreaming
The next time I hear the telephone ringing

      FRIDAY:
The next time I open a door
The next time I see a bird
The next time I use the toilet after noon
The next time I see the stars

      SATURDAY:
The next time I put a key in a lock
The next time I see an advertisement
The next time I eat anything after breakfast
      The next time I see a bicycle[/b]
      [/b]
the point of this is so you can remember intentions just with your own mental power, without relying on external reminders like watches beeping and string around your finger. This is very useful for MILD.

      good luck!

Physical life effects sleeping life, sleeping life effects physical life sometimes.

Try to improve your memory...for instance try to remember what people say after a few hours or minutes...or names...

Also you can set your alarm for REM times (5 hours into sleep and then in 90 minute cycles) to wake you up freshly after you have had a dreaming period.

I am afraid that if i do that, then my body will rely on the alarm, and i wont wake up by myself. My long term goal with lucid dreaming is to be able to attain and remember lucidity with no outside help or drugs.

if you set the alarm and get up at the same time for a week, then by then end of the week you'll just wake up by yourself anyway. i'm not sure if waking up in this mannner is good for dreaming or not.

i just tell myself that i want to wake up and remember the whole dream, and so far i've woke up every night since starting this technique. lucky me!

      il try that this week
Ive noticed that i have a lot harder time remembering dreams during school weekdays, i think this is because on the weekend, i wake up and then go back to sleep...
i have a hard time just waking up and remembering.

i find that even if i dont remember anything when i wake up, if i just sit and think for a bit it comes back quickly. usually most of the little details come back after i start writing. so.. just write something down, no matter how small it is, and you'll get better at remembering quickly, with practise.

Don't get frustrated, you'll just put yourself under stress to do it.
