      Meditation

Can you become lucid by meditating? What does meditating feel like?

Meditation is probably the only way to get a WILD in the afternoon from a fully awake state.

      All right then.

Yes, you can become lucid by meditating. How exactly, I'm still trying to figure out myself.

Meditation basically involves clearing out the mind of random distracting thoughts. Basically like running your computer without any programs up. Just sit there without any thoughts, or keep focused on one thing. It can lead you straight into a WILD, as it is essential for your mind to remain clear and focused while you attempt one.

I meditate twice a day and i have never had this happen to me personally. I have read that it is a sure method to do so though and i totally believe it. If you focus on your spiritual eye i guess it helps, from what i read. If you dont kno where that is, it's right between your eyebrows. I like to close my eyes and touch it to make sure im looking in the right direction.

You may have to practice a long time and learn advance meditation techniques if you are really interested in this type of lucid dream induction. If you are laying down its one thing to do a WILD, but if you are sitting up right or in lotus posture its another story. The later method may be a bit trickier like i said.

      I hope this helps. [=

If you want to know more, look into Dream yoga or Yoga Nidra. They are about meditating and lucidity..

Tibetan dream yoga is basicly about being aware that you are dreaming or not dreaming all that time, every single second of that the day.. this awareness would induce lucidity. This means meditation on dreaming 24/7.

i've had two experiences going from meditation into lucidity. in both instances i was lying down - tired but awake, and focused on staying aware of my inner environment without letting myself get carried away on thought tangents. after a little while i found myself leaving my body and entering a real-world/dream combo.

i think that cultivating the desire to explore one's inner, subjective conciousness is the most critical key to success with this kind of thing. if your desire is strong enough you will find the ways to fufill it.
