Is there any way to identify your dream guide as such? I don't mean calling yoour dream guide (here, either part of one's subconscious, rather than a separate being who may orr may not exist), but rather knowing which character or characters in your drams are supposed to be your guide, without them hitting you in the face with a giant mallet with "I AM YOUR DREAM GUIDE" written on? (yes, I do watch anime, why do you ask?) I've been using memonics for a while to try and summon my dream guide, but after doing so I pretty much always have a dream with a bunch of different characters, and if my dream guide is supposed to be one of them, my subconscious is trying pretty hard to keep me in the dark about it. |

Hmm, okay, that's interesting. I always thought one's dream guide was originally a form that one thought of as a source of wisdom or guidance, and the use of the image as a dream guide would then reinforce the image until it was firmly set as such. I never actually read any references to manifesting multiple dream guides in different forms. |
