So, for a while now, my persona in nonlucid (well, I suppose that might be somewhat of a misnomer, but I'm not really prepared to categorise this as lucidity) dreams has been, for most of the time, vaugely aware that it is dreaming, reasoning away strange phenomena by thinking something along the lines of "well, that only happened because it's a dream, so there's nothing to worry about", and avoiding activities or events that are likely to wake me up, if it's a fun dream and it's close to morning, et cetera. This would rarely result in a proper lucid though, just strange DJ entries.

However, lately, in 'nonlucids', I have begun to act on this knowledge that it's a dream, and that my will can influence events. Instead of just taking this into account when making decisions, I have lately remembered quite a few times when I have used dream control to get something done, within the dream narrative.

For example, last night, I dreamed that I got a free ticket to a cruise (someone had a ticket, but couldn't go), but when I got on the boat, realised I had forgotten a whole bunch of stuff. Running off the boat, I got to what seemed to be where I live, but instead of grabbing all the things I needed and putting them in a bag, I just grabbed the bag, and thought something like "I'll just will it to contain what I need, when I need it. It is, after all, a dream". Sure enough, I later used it to generate a book I wanted to read.

Just wanted to share my odd experience, and see if anyone else has had any similar experiences, or has been able to turn this sort of thing into proper LDs.
