      Mini dreams?

I'd woke up, after sleeping for about 8 hours and I didn't want to get up, but I couldn't really go back to sleep... I was laying there and it was sorta like a mini dream.. They were really random, but pretty vivid, and if I realized that I was dreaming I woke up... Then went back to sleep. It was weird.. xD.. Were these really dreams, or more like daydreams?

Hey man, I know exactly what you're talking about! I heard a good name for them, thin dreams. I really hate them, because they're very bitter-sweet - it's ALMOST fun like a dream, but you've also got the realisation of boring old regular life

Yep, I get these all the time... especially during the weekends. I wake up after a lot of sleep, and go back to sleep and dream a little, wake up, go back to sleep, dream... etc.

I have this alarm clock i have a habit of just pushing the snooze button on. From dream sleep to the snooze button and head back on pillow in 2 sec. And then i have 9 minuts before next snozze goes of... and those 9 minuts are long! It feel like i can dream for hours just on those little tiny 9 mins. So i see what you mean. Happly long mini dreams.

I also get "thin dreams", but mainly while I'm trying to fall asleep, not after waking up. Like you described, they're very random and short, and only a little vivid.

Oh yeah...I love the mini dreams. I also get them a lot when I am on the bus and the bastards always make me miss my stop. But I sure do love the little buggers...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

So in essence this is like really involved day dreaming, the types where you wonder off so much that you can pass 5 minutes and not remember what happened?

I get these often after I fall back asleep from waking up. It's like a half concious wild almost. I become lucid when I see this sort of picture in my mind and it's what I visualizing in my head but it's more real. It's just like visuazilizing with my eyes closed and then I drift off and and the picture envelops my mind and then I'm inside it in a lucid dream but it's to shifty for me to do anything.
