Need to know more about deep sleep

Hi, I have a possible tech/idea that could lead to LDs easily and precisely. Most of the existing methods take place before sleep. But I think the reason Y it's difficult is because of stages 3 and 4 or better known as deep sleep. I read that when the brain is in deep sleep there isn't any activity..just complete off mode and whatever intentions and what not to LD will die at this stage if it even passes through stages 1 and 2. So instead of doing those techs before sleep, Y not wake up at the end of deep sleep, stage 4 and do them and then go back to sleep. My guess is REM will take place immediately with what you planned in your dream which is Y it is easier to be lucid nearer to morning because there is very little if any deep sleep. What do you guys think?

WBTB uses the window which is when the mind is most suggestible and when you go back to sleep it's a nap which has more awareness to it. But what I'm proposing is bypassing the earlier stages of sleep and utilize the time as near to REM as possible. I have my REM timings so I can set the timer to go off wherever I want....be it deep sleep or light sleep or REM..... Problem is will I be able to go back to REM or restart from stage 2 again and the whole process which would defeat the whole idea.
