      Was this a lucid dream?

Last night I had what I think was a lucid dream but I couldn't things that I can normally do in a LD...in the dream I was talking to my mom and when she started talking about her trip to the moon I kinda realized I was in a dream and I did the nose RC. After realizing that I could breath with my nose closed and tried to fly but I couldn't. I normally feel really light in my LD so flying comes really easily to me, I sometimes even float away without wanting to, but this time I was feeling pretty heavy. I tried again and I couldn't. Then I tried to change the setting by spinning but nothing happened. I remember I tried to fly again but nothing happened and I can't remember what I did after that.

Was that a lucid dream? If so...why couldn't I do stuff I can normally do?

      sounds like a lucid.
Maybe the reason that you didn't have any control is due to some restriction you put on your self.
Was the dream abnormally realistic, some times when I have fantastic clarity I think that theres no way this will work and it doesn't so maybe that's what happened.

Is there any this else you can tell us about the dream or the day before?

As long as you realize it is a dream, you are lucid dreaming.

      YES!!!

The definition of a lucid dream is a dream in which you know or realize it is a dream. That simple.
