Do any of you experience disorientation when you wake up? I dont mean when you attain lucidity in the dream but when you wake up here. This morning, it took me about 2 minutes to figure out where I was, and what was going on. In my own room, Ive been in it for over a year, but it drew a complete blank, like I had never been here in my life and it was totaly new to me. While 2 minutes may not seem like a long time its too danmed long to not know where the hell you just woke up, when its your own room. |

Hrm, I had it once in my new room but that was because I just moved houses like 10 days ago and was having major weird dreams about my old house all the time, but never as long as 2 minutes... o_O perhaps you should lay off the pot for a while... haha. |

when i used to do sleep-in's at work, sometimes i used to wake up at home wondering where the hell i was - but never for more than 30 seconds or so. |

This reality is like a goldfish bowl. The dreamworld is the same, but larger. It's easy to get lost.
Yah I was afraid a bit, because I knew I should have felt safe and at home but I didnt. It may have been a dream I have dreams that are pretty undistinguishable from reality at times. Hehe, as for talking to others in sleep, While I was traveling my aunt said that I was talking in my sleep having a complete conversation with some one, and it wasnt nonsense, and she asked me if I was talking to her or just talking in my sleep, I replied to her "Oh im just talking in my sleep" and didnt wake up, I dun remember it happening either =D I havent been smoking much CT |

Perhaps it is some sort of form of sleep paralysis? I mean, sometimes you like only wake up your mind, but not your body and you are paralyzed, it could also be the other way around I suppose, you wake up your body, but your mind is still (half) asleep and is not completely back yet, or something, you know what I mean |

I used to get that but not anymore. I think it might've been when I moved into my new room. This also occasionally happens if i sleep on the coach. Its not as bad as your experience though. just slight disorientation |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
I only get this occasionally if waking up in a drastically different position from which I fell asleep in. For example my bed is against the wall but I don't like to sleep very close to the wall, and a couple times in the past I've woken with my face nearly in the wall and just think "Where am I?" for a moment, until I roll over and the rest of my room comes into view. |
