      How do you...

Hi everyone, I'm new here but I have had some lucid dreams before. I have a question about obtaning LDs. Ok in most of my dreams I have no control over what I do or think so how exactly do I notice a dream sign because reconizing is a thought right? I also normaly dream in 3rd person (see my self ). Like I said I have had a couple of LDs most were acidnets. Thanks for the help in advance!

Well, to notice dreamsigns, you need to know exactly what they are. So, keeping a dream diary/journal to record your dreams and improve your dream recall is a good idea.

      Here.

      Dream Signs
Works on the same idea as reality checks. Say you have alot of dreams with babies in them. Every time you see a baby, perform a reality check and question your surroundings. If you stick to this rule and don't get lazy; the habit will start to happen in your dreams. You may see a baby in a dream, perform a reality check (e.g: push your finger through your palm) - and hey, it's gone through! You must be dreaming!

      Identify 'em
Look at your journal. Is there a reoccuring theme, item, object, or character in your dreams? If so, you can use that as a dream sign - also known as an anchor. As long as whenever in real life you see this dream sign, you perform a reality check, it'll soon work.

Yes! Be stubborn when seeing/hearing/feeling/smelling/tasting a dreamsign and do a RC. Get it into your daily habit and do them troughoutly. The worst thing is to be lazy and fall to the conclusion that since you did a RC 30 mins ago your probably still is awake, you might be wrong.

You really just need to look for recurring themes, theres nothin to it.

It can even be a situation, like I tend to look down and see very high heights, a heavily recurring theme.
