      WILD help please?

I need help with my WILDs. I haven't been able to get into a WILD for a while now and I was hoping that some people could help me out.

Recently when attempting WILDs I have found that I concentrate too much (automatically) on what is happening. When I did them in the past my body would just take me into it but these days I find that after doing breathing techniques I don't know what to concentrate on and my mind becomes active.

Also after a while of trying I find that my heart rate picks up and my body starts to completely relax, but then my mind becomes too active and wakes me up. I have tried not thinking when this happens but I think I become focused on not focusing on what is happening and this wakes me up.

And if you could please I need some help with the guides, some of the things are not very clear to me. The guides say that after a while you will be able to think clearer and random things wont pop into your head. I'm not really sure what this means and I don't know if I have ever really reached this point properly. If I reach this stage what do I concentrate on? I find that I usually start thinking about my surroundings or body and this wakes me up.

The guides also never tell you what to expect or what to do in the stages between when you reach this "clear mind" stage and the stage where you are actually in the dream.

If anyone could help at all that would be most kind. Thanks.

      Hi Ben.

Are you sleeping before attempting the WILDs?

I reccomend getting a few hours sleep, and then waking up to turn of your alarm, then ust lie down again and go back to sleep. Dont over think it.
You dont need to concentrate, you just need to be aware.
Watch your thoughts, dont get lost in them.

These giudes you've been reading are good but everyone is different. Only you will be able to find out the best way for you to do it.

      Hey, thanks for the reply.
I have tried to wake back to bed but it doesn't seem to work for me. When I have tried the same thing happens or I loose concentration too quick and fall asleep. Also it probably doesn't help that I go to bed around 1-2 in the morning each night.
