Alright, this was a kind of weird experience I had the other night. Basically, started off as just a normal dream (as normal as dreams can be anyway), and I was involved in a crash on an open top bus where I was flung hundreds of feet into the air, and instead of plummeting to my death, I floated gently to the ground. This didn't trigger any lucidity though, I just joked about it with the people I was with at the time.

Muuuuuch later on, kinda the same dream, still not lucid and in a party scenario, I mentioned the crash to a coupla mates of mine as an interesting dream story, and their response was that it had actually happened. Now in the dream, this completely and utterly blew my mind. At this point, I was fully in the dream, having my own thoughts and feelings and everything, just not realising it was a dream. And in my head, I'd been treating the crash as a dream I'd had the night before or something, and I really couldn't comprehend that it had been real, and didn't understand how I could've thought something like that was just a dream. Stupid, stupid, stupid....

So, after thinking this, trying to reason it out, and having no clue that I was dreaming, one of my DC mates turned to me and said 'Unless this is a dream as well' to which I responded 'This is a dream as well.....I'm on that.' At this point I became somewhat lucid, realising it was a dream but completely unable to do anything really, couldn't float, couldn't tear my mate's face off (yep...tear his face right off), couldn't do any of that! Eventually I woke up after I climbed into the tv only to be greeted by the inevitable blackness.

Long post I know, but I was basically wondering if this has happened to you before, where you have no obvious clue that you're dreaming and it takes a DC telling you for you to realise (depending what you believe, a DC is a part of your mind so I guess for this to happen you must know on some level)? First time I really remember this happening.

Also, the whole being told the crash was real at the time really did completely mess with my mind. Wondering if anything like that has ever happened to you before?

Apologies for the long post...
