      Experience Fading

Well, when I first started lucid dreaming, (December 07), I was really into it, and was having 7 or 8 LD's per month. They were really exciting, I did cool stuff, and they were very vivid.

My LD rate slowly declined, and now I am having 1 or 2 per month (still never gone a month without one). I would like to have more, but I just can't get my motivation up, and even when I do have them, the experience last for a much shorter time, and I usually get nothing done, because I am driven by sex/flying goals, both of which I know make me lose lucidity faster, but I can't help myself.

I still love lucid dreaming, and would really like to get back into the flow, but I am even losing some interest in going on DV other than to chat with my friend. I don't know what to do, essentially.

I've been in the exact same boat with you for over two years now. I still never got an effective answer from my topics.

Try to be more aware with what you are doing.
Frankly, it doesn't matter what you do if you're aware - awareness is the golden key to lucid dreaming.

Also be relaxed with your approach.
Try not to get caught up in the techniques, they will only work if you're aware, and if you're not getting results it can become very monotonous, and then just counter-productive to lucidity.

So forget motivation, and just be as aware as you can in waking life, and you can become so constantly lucid, then dream is the same.
Let everything become your dream sign.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

i don't believe that lucid dreams could be done nonstop with natural ways.
it is against human nature anyway.
if you want to see lucid dreams chronic then you have to force your body and mind.it isn't easy and after some time it becomes boring to force yourself.
otherwise i don't know if any drugs or machines may help.

"Human" nature is defined by humans.

Nature is everything, hence everything is natural. Isn't level of awareness a choice overall for us?
I know I can personally choose to be unaware or aware, just by changing how divided I am with attention.

      Awareness is lucidity.

By "being aware" do you mean just "tuning in" to my surroundings, focusing on whatever task I am doing? What exactly should I do to become more aware in my waking life?

      Being undivided in your attention.

i haven't LDed for ages because I lost all my motivation... I'm starting to regain that motivation by having goals to achieve.

Maybe set yourself goals for what you'd like to do within your dreams and focus on working towards those goals. If they're ones you'll really want to achieve, hopefully that'll boost your motivation a bit (I'm hoping it'll boost mine).

I also like ClouD's idea, try to become more aware of your surroundings and such in everyday life, it'll increase the chance of becoming lucid. I'm really not observant at all, so my lucids are quite rare these days (can't remember the last one I've had!)

Back to DV after a long break from lucid dreaming! Hoping to get into a habit of lucid dreaming soon
