      What happened?

      Here's the story:
I've been trying to LD lately. I have been practicing the hand and nose RC throughout the day along with mentioning the phrase "Am I dreaming?". Also, I've been trying to increase my dream recall and was really success using the autosuggestion method by saying "I will recall my dreams". I've been able to remember a couple of dreams per night the last three days, so, everything is on track. Now yesterday, I decided to add in the line "Am I dreaming?" thinking that maybe I'll ask myself that in a dream due to the repetition and eventually, I'll do the RC and find out whether I'm dreaming or not.

      What happened?
After repeating "I will recall my dreams. Am I dreaming?" for at least something like 30 minutes, I began to hear some sounds in my ears, reminded me of police sirens, because, of the high and low intensities of the sounds. I also felt a small vibration, but, regardless of how long this continued for, I didn't see any further effects. I did have 2-3 dreams last night, of which I remember one at the moment. For some reason, I feel like there is yet another dream that I am forgetting which came before the first dream, but, I can't recall much info on it even though I tried when I was still in bed. Forgot to mention, that I am sick(cold) at the moment, so, I ended up coughing which reduced the intensity of the sounds, etc.... and eventually they were gone.

Now, my question is what are those sounds I heard? As for the method i am using, is there a better one out there to induce LD keeping in mind that I don't want a method where I will have to wake up then go back to sleep? I tried the WILD one where I counted to 100 and repeated that mantra after every number, but, no effect. I've read about the different methods, but, the autosuggestion one seems to be the one that always sticks
